Who is AGWM Africa?
AGWM Africa is a region of the Assemblies of God World Missions. We exist to carry out AGWM’s mission of establishing the Church among all peoples everywhere by reaching, planting, training and serving among the 49 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
Our Mission
The Assemblies of God World Mission’s Mission is to establish the church among all people, everywhere. As the region of the Assemblies of God World Mission serving the 49 countries of sub-saharan Africa, we carry this mission out in partnership with our national churches in Africa. Everything we do points back to this shared mission.
Our Vision
As a region of the Assemblies of God World Mission, we work to establish the church among all people, everywhere. In AGWM Africa, we carry the vision to see a healthy church within walking distance of every African. Everything we do is connected to this vision.
Our Method
We work to accomplish our vision through three primary methods.
We plant the church where it does not exist. This is when missionary teams work in unreached contexts in teams or in partnership with the national church to share the Gospel, make disciples, and see the church planted.
We nurture the church where it is young. This is where missionary teams work in unison with national churches in order to train new pastors, effectively plant churches, and ultimately help the church carry out the vision God has given them.
We partner with the church where it is strong. This is where missionary teams focus on filling gaps to help the national church in areas they are requesting help. These areas might be training, church structures being built, compassion training, etc.

Stewardship | We understand clearly the critical needs in our countries as we plant, nurture, and partner with national churches and use resources wisely in order to accomplish the mission and vision.
Effectiveness | We develop concrete goals that allow us to measure progress and celebrate victories through a more effective engagement of our mission goals.
Accountability | We demonstrate transparent communication with our sending partners as we measure progress, recalibrate, and mobilize the resources necessary to reach our goals.
